Market Design is a New York based interior design firm
specializing in commercial and residential projects. Our area of expertise is restaurant, retail and residential renovations. Our interest is to create spaces with maximum visual
impact which reflect the evolving character of our culture and economy.
Market Design was founded in 2003 by Selim Vural, a Turkish architect with a BArch degree from Fine Arts Academy in Istanbul and an MArch degree from Pratt Institute in New York. While working with his father Oral Vural who is also an architect Selim spent 4 years studying the masterpieces of Byzantine and Ottoman Architecture. In 1993 Selim moved to NY to pursue further education in arts and architecture. He established Market Design after a 12 year practical experience with prominent international firms like Eisenman Architects, SOM, Swanke Hayden Connell and Robert AM Stern Architects. Selim also taught architectural studio classes at the University of Arkansas, New York Institute of Technology and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Albany.
