Dakota
Jackson is a high-end furniture designer. During Selim Vural’s
employment with Eisenman Architects, he worked on the remodeling
of the Dakota Jackson Showroom in LA as a project designer. The project required
a large, undivided space for furniture to be displayed and
local compartments for special exhibitions. A dynamic geometry
was generated by the folded white canopy, starting from
the ground plane, oozing through the ceiling and ending
at the opposite wall. The canopy also serves as a lighting source through linear lighting fixtures installed in its crevices.
